How to Know Your Problem CAN be Helped
What do you do, if you've had a problem for a long time, or it seems so deeply entrenched in you as a person, that it seems like there's nothing you can do about it? What can you do to feel like there's 'light at the end of the tunnel'?
One of the biggest things that people find can help them to feel better, is when they can start to see the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ when it comes to overcoming a problem that they’ve had for a long time.
It may be that you feel powerless to change it, or that the thought of changing things is just too overwhelming.
A big part of overcoming a problem, especially if you’ve had it for a long time, is to be able to start to accept that there IS actually something that you can do about it, if you know how.
Yes it’s true, that if you don’t know how to change it, it can seem daunting, and it can seem overwhelming, but then that’s just like anything else in life isn’t it… if you don’t know how to change it, it can seem like an uphill struggle.
If you’ve had a problem for a long time, or even for your whole life as far as you can remember, then don’t worry… you’re not stuck with it… you can do something about it, and you can overcome it… it just might be that you need a few pointers along the way.
What techniques can you use to overcome your problem?
There’s no point in re-inventing the wheel, so when you’re looking to overcome a problem, rather than trying to figure things out for yourself, why not just use the same techniques and processes that hundreds, or even thousands of people, have already seen work?
As I say, knowing that there is ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ is something that many people find really helps, so knowing about things like ‘The Effort / Benefit Balance’, “The Personality Spectrum”, 'The Benefit Scales' or “The Divergence Technique” can really help.
Sometimes if we feel like we can’t change something, it's only because we don't know how, so knowing about techniques like these can really help.
So if you’re feeling in need of some ‘light at the end of the tunnel’, then don't worry, it’s definitely there… it just might be that you need someone to show you how!
