Where Does Acerophobia Come From?
Acerophobia, just like most phobias, come from an subconscious 'overprotection' mechanism. The fear of sourness is caused by the mind over-estimating the danger caused by sourness, believing that sourness presents an actual threat, where in reality it may not.
Acerophobia can be caused by an 'unresolved' emotional conflict.
