Where Does Acousticophobia Come From?
Acousticophobia, just like most phobias, come from an subconscious 'overprotection' mechanism. The fear of noise is caused by the mind over-estimating the danger caused by noise, believing that noise presents an actual threat, where in reality it may not.
Acousticophobia can be caused by an 'unresolved' emotional conflict.
