Where Does Ambulophobia Come From?
Ambulophobia, just like most phobias, come from an subconscious 'overprotection' mechanism. The fear of walking is caused by the mind over-estimating the danger caused by walking, believing that walking presents an actual threat, where in reality it may not.
Ambulophobia can be caused by an 'unresolved' emotional conflict.
