Where Does Anablepophobia Come From?
Anablepophobia, just like most phobias, come from an subconscious 'overprotection' mechanism. The fear of looking up is caused by the mind over-estimating the danger caused by looking up, believing that looking up presents an actual threat, where in reality it may not.
Anablepophobia can be caused by an 'unresolved' emotional conflict.
