More flexibility in scheduling your sessions
Because sessions can be done via video call, you have far more flexibility over how and when your sessions are held. You can also email us about your sessions, and you can write them whenever and wherever you like, and can take as long over them as you need.
Access your i-Talk sessions wherever you are
Even if you don’t live near to one of our practices, you can still access i-Talk sessions… as long as you have a computer and a broadband connection, you can access i-Talk (plus a webcam to use video call of course!).
Get started quickly
When waiting for an appointment with a therapist or counselor, it’s not uncommon to have to wait many weeks, or in some cases many months to be seen. With i-Talk sessions, you can start your sessions very quickly, often within a day or so.
Why i-Talk Sessions are so Convenient
No travel to an office required
Travelling to an office for your session, and then home again after can often take far longer than the session itself, but with i-Talk online sessions, you only need to travel as far as your own computer!
You can have i-Talk online sessions if you live in rural or remote areas, or are physically unable to get to a clinic (for example if you are disabled or housebound, or have a fear of driving or agoraphobia).
If you’re away from home for a while (for example on a business trip), again, no problem… as long as you have access to a computer, a webcam and the internet, you can have your i-Talk sessions.
No need to put your family on hold!
If you have family or other commitments that make it hard for you to find the time to travel to one-to-one sessions (for example if you have young children, or are a carer), then online sessions can be far easier to fit around your busy lifestyle.
No need to take lots of time off work
If you work regular times or long hours, it can often be difficult to find the time to get to regular one-to-one sessions. i-Talk sessions, can be far more flexible around your work. If there are only certain days or times that are available to you, just let us know, and we’ll accommodate if we can.

Have your sessions in the comfort of your own home
Having the sessions at home means that you can feel a lot more ‘settled’ and relaxed while you’re having your sessions… if can help you feel far more ‘in control’ than if you were committing yourself to travelling to a clinic each week.
Take your time
One of the main advantages, particularly when you email us about your sessions, is that you can take your time over your emails. It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to compose your thoughts, consider what you want to say, and make sure you’ve mentioned everything that you want to, you can take all the time you need.
More comfortable than being with someone ‘face-to-face’
One of the main reasons why people ‘put off’ getting help with a problem, is having to sit and talk to someone about it face-to-face. With i-Talk sessions, it can be far more comfortable.
Plus, some people find it FAR easier to type out what it is they want to say, than to say it face-to-face, and of course, if you email us about your sessions, that’s exactly what you can do. It could well be that you find it much easier to type things out, than you ever would talking face-to-face.
