A new article: "Is Hypnoanalysis and 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis The Same Thing?' has been written to answer this frequently asked question.

We are sometimes asked what is the difference between hypnoanalysis, and ‘pure’ hypnoanalysis.  Are they the same thing?

Not necessarily.

What happened was, in 2007, the ‘International Association of Hypnoanalysts’ (IAH) renamed the therapy from ‘hypnoanalysis’ to ‘pure hypnoanalysis’.  This was done to differentiate the therapy practiced by IAH practitioners, from other types of hypnotherapy that are often practiced under the ‘umbrella’ terms of hypnoanalysis and analytical hypnotherapy....
