Suggestion Therapy or 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis?
The Main Types of Hypnotherapy Used at Avon Hypnotherapy
Analytical Hypnotherapy and Suggestion Hypnotherapy both have their parts to play in helping people resolve their personal issues.
Deciding which would be best for you, would depend on how deeply-seated the problem lies.An individual's personality is largely determined in the childhood years.
The personality they develop during those years goes with them, largely unaltered, throughout the rest of their lives.
For many people, some aspect of this development leaves them, through no fault of their own, with an aspect of their personality, such as a fear, habit or phobia, which can go on to affect them in their adult years.
Hypnoanalysis
This is where Hypnoanalysis comes in. Hypnoanalysis, is effectively psychotherapy / psychoanalysis using hypnosis.
'Pure' Hypnoanalysis has helped countless people over the years. The aim of 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis is not to 'control', or 'manage' the problem, the aim is to resolve it completely.

Suggestion Hypnotherapy
While Suggestion Therapy has many uses, and can be extremely effective, it does nothing to reveal the root cause of a problem and is therefore used more for the habits, such as nail-biting, smoking, etc.
To give an insight into the difference between the two therapy techniques, we can use a metaphor of a cracked wall:
Suggestion therapy merely 'papers over the cracks', whereas Analytical therapy checks to see why the wall is cracking in the first place to help the 'householder' put it right.
Analytical Hypnotherapy or Suggestion Therapy?
Analytical Hypnotherapy and Suggestion Therapy can be used to help with many physical and psychological issues, ranging from anxiety and panic attacks, to phobias, social anxiety, nail biting, quitting smoking, IBS, nerve rashes and much more.
Additionally, Analytical hypnotherapy can also be thought of as an interesting and cathartic journey into personal development and self-discovery.
The one thing that can become obvious with this type of talking therapy, is the progress that can be made.
It can be very rewarding and the gains can be immense.
